Be a tourist.

Eligibility (Tourist Stream – Apply from Australia):

Meet health and character requirements.
Sufficient funds for the trip.
Genuine visitor intent.
Under 18: Show it’s in the child’s best interests.

Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) – Tourist Stream (Apply outside Australia):

Cost: $145AUD.
Stay for 3, 6, or 12 months.
Most processing times within 26 days.
Similar benefits as applying from within Australia.
No work allowed.

Eligibility (Tourist Stream – Apply outside Australia):

Similar requirements as applying from within Australia.
Adequate health insurance.
